lyrics

Shocked awake by twisted din,
The Dragon comes to fly again,
A beast unlike the elders said,
Raining fire and shots of lead,
I see my home burn to the ground,
And hear the most ungodly sound,

My people die and temples burn,
Our lives undone by wretched wyrm,
No one knows what justifies,
The mind behind its soulless eyes,
Nothing’s left, it’s much too late
I have to try and escape my fate,

The days turn into weeks,
but weeks can pass away-
While the desert sun beats
I wander through the waste,
The Horizon gives me reason to carry on,
I cannot rest until I see the Dragon dead and gone,

I find a band of refugees
With stories much like mine,
They tell tales of an iron beast
That came down from the sky,
But in a foreign tongue that I don’t fully understand,
They tell me that the Dragon is a weapon of man

With weapons I have never seen,
That harness dragon’s fire,
We go to hunt the deadly fiend,
And fulfill my one desire,
And on this night I will have my revenge,

Because either way I’ll meet my end,
With sky on fire, we meet again,
I’ve found a way to settle the score
And developed taste for modern war,
We kill the beast and bring it down,
I was not prepared for what I found…
