Lute FP This came out a few years before I found BC so I missed it on the first round, but it just popped into my feed now and I am totally digging it.

The band wears their homage to the 60s and 70s classic rock greats on their sleeves, and they do a great job of preserving the aesthetic while updating the sound to modern specs. Not much to add to what the usual suspects have already said, other than if you missed it earlier and dig AOR rock-n-roll you will love this.

note Destroying it! I am really digging this throw back rock, the blues, the psychedelic notes, it's the total package. Great debut. Favorite track: Lone Crow.

I see a lone crows flying the other way I see the other crows pecking at the dirt all day The lone crow says "Yeah i'm flying south" Other crows dont know what i'm talkin' about Yeah a friend once told me that life's more free Than what the great deal of people make it out to be Never understood a single word he said But now it keeps on ringing all in my head An old man talking like he lost his mind He aint got no reason, aint got no rhyme Couldn't understand a single thing he said But now it keeps on ringin all in my head

Well you got sunshine in your heart, I got moonshine in mine, And I'm tryin my best to show you, But I just can't find the time And I gotta tell you darlin', Make you understand, That I know this wiskey ain't gonna fix me, But I just don't know what can Well I didn't mean what i said, I don't wish you gone, Cause girl you're the one thing, That's kept me drivin' on Cause you got sunshine in your heart, I got moonshine in mine, And I'm starting to lose it now, Cause she's acting like I commit a crime

about

World In Sound presents with the self-titled debut album of "The Lone Crows" another very talented US heavy-psych band (besides "The Flying Eyes"). Comprised of nine fast, furious and catchy tracks, the album is a tasty mix of deep and haunted compositions and floating jams filled with mind blowing guitarwork, while singer songwriter Tim Barbeau exorcises his inner demons with everything from soulful belting to banshee like shrieks. Musically the album showcases influences that range from the powerful 70s retro Blues rock, to 60's Westcoast Psychedelic /Acid Rock but also to early 90's grunge ... reflecting flashes of such groups as The Black Keys, Wolfmother, Kyuss, Led Zeppelin, Quicksilver Messenger Service or Doors. "The Lone Crows" shows growth from the band's original style extended jams, spot on instrumentation, and more fleshed out song writing to take you back to those times, when music still was music!" Enjoy this piece - it will grow after each listen and it can lead into heavy addiction.
